SO LITTLE TIME, SO MUCH TO DO

I have not had a chance to write in my blog since the very first entry! How sad is that!!

Do you ever stop to think that if we "little people" have little time to accomplish that which we must do, how does GOD ever take care of everything he does. It is just awe inspiring to think about. He always finds the time to listen to me, to teach me, to correct me, but mostly to love me. Oh yeah, and he does that for you too. Amazing!!

I have been so moved recently by the wonderful messages that have been preached in our Church. We are so blessed to have men who have been annointed to teach the Word of God.

There have been messages that have truly convicted me about finding time to be in the Word. There was a wonderful message about "abiding" in Christ, to wait on Christ, to remain in Christ, and in order to remain in Christ we have to stay in the Truth, the Word. I have heard how God wants to fellowship with us. How awesome is that.

There was one message which really hit home with me. It was about walking in the Spirit and following God's Word. It was about not letting the devil destroy our spiritual growth. I have a weight problem that I have been struggling with for years! Galatians 5: 16-25 really spoke to me. It tells me basically that the things I wish not to do I do and those that I wish to do I do not . I am not being led by the Spirit if I am still suffering from this lust. If we live in the Spirit and Walk in the Spirit then we can conquer these passions and desires. I truly pray that by staying in God's Word and living in the Spirit I shall overcome this burden.

Thank you Lord for once again taking the time to care enough to show me how to live a better life and to be led by your light. See what can happen when you MAKE THE TIME to be in His Word.

I pray for all of you and that your time will be well spent being with our precious Lord in thought, word and deed.

Welcome!

Hello everyone! Today is my first try at Blogging!! I don't even know if that is a correct term. I hope that you have all had a blessed day and that you have taken the time to express your thankfulness.

I can't wait to see if anyone visits my blog. I am still not sure how all of this works but I am sure I will figure it out. I think this is going to take some time!! The reason why I wanted to start a blog is so that I could interact on the Living Proof Ministries website. It is such a blessing to read all of my fellow sisters blogs that I wanted to be able to communicate back.

I have been very blessed to have participated in three of Beth Moore's Bible studies through our Church and my husband and I are now studying "A Heart Like His". My fellow "Siesta's" and myself refer to each other as "Beth Moore Junkies", not the most endearing term I'm sure that she has heard but it sort of fits. Not that we just adore Beth but that we are "Junkies" for the Word of God! We just can't get enough of the Lord's Word. Once we get started on studying the Bible we just can't stop. Beth has such a gift for translating God's Word so that it speaks to our very hearts. We thank God for his annointing upon her.
