SIESTA MEMORIZATION WEEKEND!

I want to thank LPM for one of the most memorable weekends of my life. I am so humbled by the service of the women at LPM and the loving kindness which was shown to us. It was so much fun to finally meet the women behind the blogger names. I got to meet Georgia Jan, Patty, Melana and Miesta Moose, just to name a few. And we absolutely cannot forget meeting Amanda and Melissa!
We stayed at the Omni Hotel, which was beautiful. How surprised where we when we ran into Travis Cottrell there also. If there is one thing that stands out about Travis, it would be his humility. He truly is a sincerely nice guy. He graciously took pictures with us and then went on his way. He did not seem put out at all that we women were interrupting what plans he might have had. God granted him the gift of music, word and voice because He knew that Travis would use it to glorify the name of Jesus! I so admire him for his passion for the Lord.

We also got to travel to the NASA Space Center. We loved it!!! All that history that we actually experienced and have lived through. Simply amazing. We can not forget our Thursday evening at the Galleria Mall. We actually got lost in there and had to have two nice young men lead us back out to the Cheesecake Factory. We had our Magellan system in the car, we didn't think we would need it in the mall. Oh well!!!
The highlight of our weekend though was of course the event itself. From the Praise and Worship to the inspired message of Mamma Beth, it was electrifying. Oh and I can't forget PSALMS 119 HAS 176 VERSES!! And powerful they are. The chocolate Texas sheet cake was awesome as was the company of all the women during the weekend. Going outside to share our memorized verses with our partner was moving. Because each of these verses we held close to our hearts all year long. They have become a part of us and as Beth said, if someone were to find them they would know exactly what had gone on in our lives this year by the verse we chose. It is a diary in the life of a woman in need of God's intervention!

What I am most thankful for is the Holy Spirit leading each of us to our verses, and in that mere act, leading us to each other. For when we are together we are not "aliens" we are Siesta Sisters in Christ. We have a bond that goes beyond shopping malls, luncheons and girl talk, we have the love and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ, who tells us through HIM we can do all things. We are powerful through him! Let's take that scripture we learned and continue to follow what the Holy Spirit leads us to do. Send me Lord, send me......

OUR ONCE IN A LIFETIME TRIP!

Norm and I had a fabulous time in Venice and Bari, Italy as well as in Olympia, Santorini, Mykonos, and Rhodes, Greece. Our last stop was in Dobrovnik, Croatia, which was also gorgeous!

We loved the history lessons that we learned from our visits as well as the beauty of Europe! Is God not great!!! To visit places that Apostle Paul visited on his missionary trips was so awesome.

We are so thankful that we had the opportunity to travel with friends and to also make new friends along the way! Please enjoy some of the 900 pictures that we took. Don't worry I could not fit them all on!! It would take me forever!

Each and every Bible Study I attend I learn so much. "Who knows" what is in store for those of us who are faithful to His Word and are willing to submit to the destiny He has planned for us. Here we are Lord, use us!!!!

Miracles

A sweet little miracle was born just a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Sophia Grace. Sophia has Edwards Syndrome. It is a disorder of the chromosomes where she was born with only 18. Downs Syndrome babies are born with 21. Sophia's parents knew about this condition prior to her birth. Most children with this disorder do not even make it through birth. This precious little girl has made it for the past 26 days! No small task for such a small bundle.

Since my friend Bob told me about his daughters prognosis we have been on our knees in prayer. We are not shy, we have been asking for a miracle. We truly prayed for her to be born healthy and we knew God could come through for us. God's plans are sometimes very different from ours. Despite what we think would be best, God knows better. We have not stopped praying or believing that he can perform a miracle by curing her or taking away her afflictions. The mere fact that she has come so far and is doing well is a miracle.

My brethren count it all Joy when you fall into various trials;
knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

James 1:2-3 KJV

We are counting it all as Joy. We do not know what plans God has for Sophia Grace and her family but we ask that you pray with us. Please watch the video attached entitled 99 Balloons. It is the story of a little boy named Elliot with the same Syndrome that Sophia Grace has. What a great testimony of a family's love for their child and their faith and total trust in our Lord.

THE STUDY OF ESTHER
Here we are with our royal crowns. It may be hard to see in this picture but we are all wearing our Tiara's to show how royal we are. As Travis's daughter, Lillie Kate, found out it is hard being a princess when you can't wear your crown and let everyone else see the beauty in royalty. However, when you are with a group of like minded people you can wear your crown and let it sparkle. In everyday life whenever we help a friend in need, speak a kind word to a stranger, lift the Lord up in Glory, study His Word, and seek after a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father, our crown never shines brighter. Our Father sees it and he is well pleased. As Beth states in the Esther study, "You have royal blood in a way that even Esther did not. The crimson bloodline of Christ flows through your veins." Amen and Amen!
